Classes
I teach trauma-informed hatha yoga as well as more tailored somatic movement classes. Classes are hosted at various studios in New York. Occupancy, prop availability, COVID-19 protocol, rates and physical accessibility will vary depending on the location. I will provide information specific to each studio on this website and upon registration.
Current class offerings include:
Trauma-informed Yoga ✴ A gentle approach to yoga that centers accessibility, comfort, and self-regulation. We will practice asana (postures), pranayama (breath), mudras (gestures), bandhas (locks), and meditation. Move slowly and build a deeper relationship with your mind, body, and spirit.
Somatic Breathflow ✴ Breathwork for nervous system regulation, and overall wellbeing, that focuses on the relationship between the ribcage, lungs, diaphragm and pelvis, as well as other areas of the body. Through guided exploration we learn how the way we breathe impacts our movement (and vice versa) in class and in the world.
Neuromyofascia Repatterning ✴ Through somatic awareness and micromovements of the muscle and fascia, we will facilitate shifts in our body’s softer structures, interrupt habitual patterns, restore our natural balance and strengthen our mind-body connection. Fascia is the connective tissue and perceptual organ that links and flows through all of our muscles, bones, nerves, and organs.
